Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2

Peel yams and slice into 1/4" thick circles. Place in a 9 x 13 baking dish.

Step 3

Add brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg to yams. Toss to combine.

Step 4

Add sliced cubes of butter on top of the yam mixture.

Step 5

Bake 40 minutes or until fork tender, stirring every 15 minutes.

Step 6

Remove cooked yams from oven and top with marshmallows. Bake 3-5 minutes, until marshmallows are puffed.

Step 7

Serve immediately.
