Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Take a trip down memory lane with our classic and easy-to-make Strawberry Pretzel Salad recipe. It's the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and nostalgic goodness that your whole family will love!

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Step 2

Combine 3 cups crushed pretzels, 1.25 cups melted butter, and 4.5 Tbsp sugar in a bowl (Older kids can help, be careful with the hot butter).

Step 3

Spray a 9x13" pan with cooking spray. Press the mixture firmly into a prepared pan (Kids can help!). Bake for 8 minutes and cool completely.

Step 4

Beat together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Fold in whipped topping (Kids can help!). Spread over cooled pretzel crust. Refrigerate for 45 minutes or overnight, covered with plastic wrap.

Step 5

Whisk together jello and 2 cups boiling water until jello is completely dissolved.

Step 6

Remove from refrigerator once firm and place strawberries in a single layer.

Step 7

Pour Jell-O mixture on top of the strawberries and cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until firm.

Step 8

Serve with additional whipped cream, pretzels and sliced strawberries, as desired. Kids can help garnish the slices!

Cook's Notes

This recipe can be prepared in part a day ahead at the cream cheese layer. This recipe is good in the refrigerator up to 5 days, covered with plastic wrap.
