This Bourbon BBQ Beef Back Ribs recipe uses high-quality Certified Angus Beef. The beef is cooked slow and low in a smoker, which makes it really tender and tasty. The homemade sauce is a mix of BBQ sauce, bourbon, soy sauce, and Bravado Pineapple & Habanero Pepper Hot Sauce. It gives the ribs a unique sweet, spicy, and smoky flavor.

Ingredients

Directions

Step 1

Prepare your pellet grill or smoker to 250° F.

Step 2

Peel off tough membrane that covers the underside/bony side of the ribs.

Step 3

Season ribs evenly with salt and pepper.

Step 4

Place ribs on the grill bone side down, or place the ribs on the indirect heat side if you are using a 2-zone cooking set up. Cook for 1 hour, undisturbed.

Step 5

Spritz ribs with apple juice. Check temperature. When the internal temperature reaches 165° F, wrap in foil and return to smoker or grill, close the lid and smoke for about another hour.

Step 6

Remove ribs from the smoker once the ribs reach 190° F.

Step 7

In a small saucepan, combine barbecue sauce, bourbon, soy sauce, and hot sauce. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 8

Preheat oven broiler to high.

Step 9

Glaze rib meat with sauce and place under broiler for 3-5 minutes or until ribs begin to bubble, not scorch.

Step 10

Slice between bones into individual ribs and serve.
